Dr Watson is a Senior Teaching Fellow with responsibility for ATMP course development at Imperial College London and a Knowledge Exchange Practitioner with London Advanced Therapies. She gained a BSc at Hull University, an MSc at Leeds University, a PhD in Molecular Biology at Newcastle University and an MBA at Edinburgh University.
Dr Watson has held molecular and cell biology research positions at Leicester, St Andrews, Edinburgh and Newcastle Universities, has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry as Principal Scientist at GlaxoSmithKline and has regulatory experience. She previously held a Senior Lectureship in Biology and Biomedical Sciences at Cumbria University and her particular research interests are in cell and gene therapies and biopharmaceuticals. Dr Watson is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology and is listed in Who’s Who in the World.
